Last updated: October 2026

Auto Solve Pty Ltd, trading as Auto Solve Financial (ABN 33 662 696 219, ACN 662 696 219), a credit representative (Credit Representative Number 580126) of AFAS Group Pty Ltd (Australian Credit Licence 414426) ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information, including credit related information.

We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code (the CR Code). This policy should be read together with our Credit Guide.

The information we collect

The kinds of information we collect depend on the services you ask us to provide. To arrange finance for you, we typically collect:

  • Personal information, your name, contact details, date of birth, and identification details (such as your driver licence or passport).
  • Financial information, your income, expenses, assets, liabilities and employment details.
  • Credit related and credit eligibility information, information about your consumer credit, including credit applications, repayment history information, default information, and information derived from a credit reporting body.

How we collect your information

Wherever possible we collect your information directly from you, for example, through our website, by phone, by email, or when you complete an application. With your consent, we may also collect information from other sources, including:

  • credit reporting bodies;
  • lenders and finance providers on our panel;
  • your employer, accountant or other referees (to verify the information you give us); and
  • our aggregator and our licensee.

Why we use your information and who we disclose it to

We collect, hold, use and disclose your information to assess your needs and arrange finance for you, to comply with our legal obligations, and to manage our relationship with you. We may disclose your information to:

  • lenders and finance providers on our panel, so they can assess your application;
  • our aggregator, Optimise Aggregation Pty Ltd, and our licensee, AFAS Group Pty Ltd (Australian Credit Licence 414426);
  • credit reporting bodies;
  • insurers and providers of related products you ask us to arrange;
  • our professional advisers and service providers (such as IT, document verification and administration providers); and
  • anyone else you authorise us to deal with, or where we are required or permitted by law.

When you choose to proceed with a loan, the lender will usually run a credit check as part of assessing your application.

Credit reporting

To help arrange your finance, we may obtain credit information about you from credit reporting bodies, and we may disclose information to them. The major credit reporting bodies in Australia include Equifax, illion and Experian. You can obtain each credit reporting body's own policy about how they manage credit related information from their websites.

In relation to your credit related information, you have the right to:

  • request access to the credit information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong;
  • ask a credit reporting body not to use your credit reporting information for the purposes of direct marketing or pre screening of credit offers;
  • ask a credit reporting body not to use or disclose your credit reporting information if you believe you have been, or are likely to be, the victim of fraud; and
  • be notified if we, or a credit reporting body, deal with a complaint that relates to your credit related information.

Direct marketing

From time to time we may use your contact details to tell you about products, services or offers we think may interest you. You can opt out of receiving direct marketing from us at any time by contacting us at info@autosolvefinancial.com.au or by using the unsubscribe facility in any electronic message we send you. As noted above, you can also ask a credit reporting body not to use your credit reporting information for direct marketing or pre screening.

Cookies, website analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. These include the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms (Facebook), which tells us how visitors arrive at and use our website and helps us measure and improve our advertising. Meta may collect information such as your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit, and may link it to your Facebook or Instagram account under Meta's own privacy policy.

When you submit an enquiry, our website also records details that help us handle it, such as the page you first arrived on and the website that referred you, and it briefly stores your first name in your browser (for about 10 minutes) so our thank you page can greet you. We do not send the details you type into our forms to Meta.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage how Meta uses your information for advertising in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. Some parts of the website may not work as intended if cookies are blocked.

Data security and overseas disclosure

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We hold information in both physical and electronic forms with appropriate safeguards, and we destroy or de identify information when it is no longer needed.

Some of the service providers we use store or process information outside Australia. In particular, our email and business systems are provided by Google, and our website uses advertising measurement tools provided by Meta (Facebook). These providers may store or process information in the United States and other countries where they or their sub processors operate. Lenders, our aggregator and other providers we deal with may also use overseas service providers, as described in their own privacy policies. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for access to the personal and credit related information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, contact us at info@autosolvefinancial.com.au or write to us at 25 Moncrief Road, Nunawading VIC 3131. We will respond within a reasonable period. There is no charge for making a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee for giving access in some circumstances, and we will tell you about any fee in advance.

Privacy complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or the CR Code, please contact our Privacy Officer at info@autosolvefinancial.com.au, or by mail at 25 Moncrief Road, Nunawading VIC 3131. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it, and respond to you in writing. Our full complaints process is set out on our Complaints & Dispute Resolution page.
